97618 Average hours of work per week on railroads (BLS) hours Average hours of work per week working on railroads. Estimates derived hours per week from the monthly reports on hours filed by Class I steam railroads with the United States Interstate Commerce Commission. Total hours paid have sub-categories which allows the separation of hours paid for into 'hours actually spent at work', and 'hours paid for but not worked'.
