Definition: The ratio of prevalence of met need to prevalence of need, where: Prevalence of met need = the proportion of a population using assistive products that do not need new or additional assistive products. Prevalence of need = sum of the prevalence of met need (the proportion of a population using assistive products that do not need new or additional assistive products) and the prevalence of unmet need (the proportion of a population that need new or additional assistive products regardless of whether they are already using assistive products or not.) Method of measurement: Population-based survey: household survey conducted with the rapid Assistive Technology Assessment (rATA), a dedicated WHO survey tool collecting self-reported data on access to assistive technology. Method of estimation: Estimates derived from national household surveys using the rapid Assistive Technology Assessment (rATA).
